As far as the inner arch shield goes I have thought to make one myself but I think it would act as a trap for grot to get at the back of and accumulate whilst at the same time making it harder to get clean. But then I prefer not getting my car mucky if I can help it Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.
