Welcome Big Steve, first post 'n' all,

Why specifically 180 BHP must be the question? I have 'taken' mine to approximately 160 with a remap and an ITG performance filter and it is for me quite adequate taking into consideration the handling characteristics of an XS with upgraded suspension! There are many factors to consider when boosting power apart from just a figure of 180. For me personally with what I do, how I drive and what I tow 160-170 BHP and the associated torque increase is sufficient!
As a footnote and a tad off topic;-
Posted from my phone whilst waiting in a dealership for my rusty, flaking headlight retaining rings and a corroded rear window catch bracket to be swapped under warranty!

Happy Christmas! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Big Steve,

Sib's thread on 'lost remap at dealers' made an interesting read (second paragraph). If TH White is correct the Puma TDCI's may not be as robust as TD5s when it comes to power increases. Warranty issues may ensue for those with remaps etc. Each vehicle has a threshold, I myself would be interested to know what that of the Puma may be. I still have 18 months warranty to run and would not necessarily wish to compromise it by exceeding the vehicle's maximum capability. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
