Fitted the step bumper today... rubbish instructions and some questionable size bolts, but it worked out ok in the end! Had to pop out to the local tractor repair place to borrow a 14mm allen socket though! Painted some of the parts in the kit at the same time... I may well paint the whole thing now as well..

It's the genuine LR one. The welding/finishing is a bit agricultural, some of the bolts aren't quite long enough to fully engage the nylon in the nylock nuts, & they supply 12mm bolts to fit through 10mm holes - but I suppose that's to be expected!!

Whatever you do DON'T fit them straight into the crossmember! They will cause it to rust more quickly than you can say 'waxoyl'! They can be fitted (just about) in the rear bumper, it'll have the same effect but at least it's an accessory not the x-member! on the rear bumper step, i fitted a small plastic rectangle and mounted the sensors on the bottom edge, the top edge on the bumper step

Interesting, sounds good! If you have any pics they would be much appreciated! Saw a 110 with conpletely rotten rear Xmember due to parking sensors the other day, and it was a '59 plate! Shows what a difference it makes Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |
