EGR removal
I have a kit to remove the EGR from my TD5 in my garage...waiting 'til insurance renewal time so I don't have to amend the list of modifications mid term.

However, it would appear that there seems to be a tendency (Lro and Lrm) to recommend NOT removing it now.

Has there been a shift in thinking? Not long ago it seemed to be a widely held view that removing it was one of the best things you could do to a TD5.

Anyone know why there has been some change of view in some quarters?

I'm not sure why they would advise against it.

I read that in LRO too.... typical uninformed LRO journalists I expect... and as the magazine is so far in LR's pocket, if LR stated the world was flat then the magazine would agree.

Bear in mind that this is the same magazine that puts the wrong text with pictures... like "front axle" when it's clearly a pic of a rear one (unless it's a non steering front axle Rolling with laughter ) and "Td5" engine when the pic shows a V8.... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
