Ok, so my Defender isn't being built until May but I seem to have somehow bought some upgrades already... is this normal??!! Can I get help for this addiction?!
Shiny new badge: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge X-Eng Column Lock: Click image to enlarge With my long-standing love for older Landies I couldn't resist the badge! Got the text customised to suit my Utility Wagon too - a really top quality bit of CNC-machined marine grade ali - should go nicely with the Keswick Green paintwork... For info it came from Gavin at Artmin Design on eBay http://stores.ebay.co.uk/theminicncmachiningcentre if anyone else is looking for something similar. Plenty more security items on the shopping list before the proper mods start - fingers crossed the Skytag group buy will still be running when I take delivery... What a great forum - has been a goldmine of useful information already... cheers chaps (and chapesses!). Steve. |

Ah that brings me back !
I had all my bits and bobs (wheels, tyres, side steps etc) stored in the shed while I was waiting for delivery of my 110. I used to look at them lovingly wondering how great they would look when fitted whilst crossing my fingers and hoping that the guys in Solihull were assembling my Defender extra carefully. They didn't though ! |

Hello from Aus....my 2nd post!
We know virtually nothing about Defenders, but are in the process of ordering a '90, in Keswick Green, like yours. We LOVE the "classic/retro" look.....your vehicle looks tops, and so do the badges....did you design them yourself? Cheers, Pickles. |

Welcome to the forum! The badges used to be fitted on early Series models. They are available from Falon Nameplates (link below), who I believe do postage worldwide http://www.falon-nameplates.co.uk/landrover2.htm An engine to TDi for! Hi Pickes, Thanks for your kind words! Enjoy your 90 - great colour choice! As for the badges, the place I got them from (link in my original post) can customise them to suit - e.g. the text on the lower badge or the small text on the main Land Rover oval. I'm sure he'd post overseas too - he's a very helpful chap. Fantastic quality bit of machining too... |

I saw the Falcon link above - but they don't have the same wording options & look a bit of a different style...

I emailed Falon the other week. They'll pretty much design anything you want (at a cost...)
When you ask about the LR badges, he may seem very offhand and dubious... but he is worried about copyright, so ensure you tell him it's for personal use and you're not a lawyered-up suit from Solihull! |
