guess I'll never know but whats the chances of the transferbox having had the wrong oil in it and would it make much difference?

the dealer is telling they've done nothing?? still early days and can't quite put my finger on it but the gear change / clutch all seems better (wouldnt be suprised if the clutch has been adjust too but I really don't know).

all i can say is I hope it continues.

- also when I jumped in thought I was gonna have to jump back out and complain again. couldn't turn the heater fan off? I hadn't realised the fan turns on automatically when you engage the a/c Embarassed

Low, and no. The wrong oil might make it run hot, or whine or wear out quicker but in normal use the transfer box is just a fixed gear and has no bearing on the clutch or gearchange in general. Darren

That's great, but the clock is ticking and it will be interesting to see how long before the next bought of paranoia and worrying about something, you are not sure what so you can't quite put your finger on it, happens.

it's running an absolute treat at the moment following my attempt at a service on it......

there is now only two things I can think of that may have impact on the poor running previously;

- either I've disturbed something such as wiring while changing the air filter
- or the fuel filter was starving the engine and was possibly full of crap due to the deterioation of the fuel breather that has now been replaced - but suprised there was no MIL ?

any how Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

(I just know something will go wrong now won't it?)

Did you clip the airbox back together properly,dont know what they like on Puma's but some airbox's can be a bit of a pain to put back. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.
