Oxfordshire Pub Meet
Pub meet Wantage/Didcot/Abingdon area of Oxfordshire. Thursday July 18th 8pmish at the Greyhound Inn, Letcombe Regis www.greyhoundletcombe.co.uk

If theres enough interest maybe it'll be a regular one? Maybe building up some sort of club. There isn't much of a club scene in this part of the world so anyone interested.......?????

Very Happy

(All LR owners welcome obviously not just Defenders!)

Plenty of byways around that area too. Used to live not 10 miles from there (Bourton, Nr Shrivenham.)

If you are ready, but don't want to go back home there is a cracking campsite at Britchcombe Farm under Uffington White Horse!

Haha! You don't know the promises I made to the Missus to make her sleep in a roof tent for 2 nights.....she'd expect a ring on her finger if I asked her to do another night prior to Wales.....for fun! Razz ===================================

Just checked the webiste and didnt realise it was over near Swindon! thats 1H25 mins from me. Thats further than the Surrey meet and i live on the oxfordshire border.

Is there anywhere closer to actual Oxford or even Abingdon? If not ill have to pull out as it is quite a way just for a pint. ===================================

If it was a bit nearer to Oxford I would come down. It's about 45 mins to Oxford for me.

I'm potentially interested but I am right on the other side of the county, so would be a fair old trek for me, maybe an hour. We used to have a series pub meet in Witney which was quite good (although got canned because the club didn't want to support it for some reason)

How about something central Oxfordshireish, say, Hopcrofts holt on the A4260? I have never been in it but I know it has a big car park. 2011 110 USW

Have circulated this date venue elsewhere so will be best not to change now. I picked somewhere close to me in case no-one showed...where I knew there would be a good sized carpark and it would not be too busy already if a good few did show. I didn't think anyone would travel far for it TBH but thought it may gather together some of the owners of the many nice local LRs.

So if it's close enough to you and you're free....see you Thursday Very Happy .

I will try and get down there on Thurs. Maybe if we get a good showing of peeps then we could decide if we should meet in a different venue in the future depending on where everyone is.
