Popped up to Halifax this weekend and picked up my latest purchase - a wide track WOLF (i.e. disc brakes and fold away jockey wheel) Sankey trailer.
Looks in pretty good nick with only surface rust to attend to. I also took the opportunity to install my full set of Mantec internal window guards (awesome!) and OEM Load guard (complete pig of an install - very badly designed). Still, I now have a fully secured gear and a new trailer Observations:
The NATO hitch doesn't mount correctly with the OEM adjustable tow hitch plate. I have mine frigged for the moment but I'll be working on a proper solution ASAP Issues:
Can't get the brake lights to work (all other electrics work) Disc brakes don't appear to do anything (I need to look in more detail at the mechanism - it looks to be jammed) Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

I thought about posting the step by step guide
Unfortunately it was p*ssing it down with rain all weekend so we spent most of the time with 2 blokes crammed into the back of the 110 armed with various drills and sockets and barely enough room to move, let alone photograph. I'll write up a summary of the dos and don'ts. The instructions that came with the load guard are pretty comprehensive. Mantec, however, didn't even send instructions but their guards are fairly self explanatory. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |
