transfer linkages
my dads stick has excessive movement and the rest of the system looks like it has seized. Where can you get the bits to revamp the linkage? and what is the best way to free it up, as he cannot engage low or diff lock. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

You need to get in under and have a look, you may find on older ones that the plastic bushes have come out. Or the pivot arm needs adjusting? It comes out the side of the gbox for difflock operation.

First thing I would do is get a spanner on top of diff lock lever on top of box and see if it goes in manually. Cheers
