Cruise control
Hi I have fitted cruise control on our td5 defender which don't work Big Cry I have plugged the nanocom in checked through the system. It says the clutch switch is on unplugged the connector on the clutch pedal still on. Plugged back into the clutch switch checked continuity to earth with the clutch pressed found ok released pedal breaks the earth. So it looks like the system us working but why is the clutch switch on according to the nano.
It's a nnn ecu

Thanks phil

I have check the switch that looks all ok just a bit confusing how the clutch switch is active Even if you pull the wires off. Also tried bridging the wires together. I have also took the pin out of the ECU and it is still active.

It's a DIY kit

I'm sure I've read somewhere (on here) that the way the Nanocom reads the clutch switch is backwards to the way that seems logical, i.e. it reads 'on' when the pedal is not being pressed and 'off' when it is, or something like that anyway. Darren

Daren is that just on the defender td5 because I have tried it on my disco 2 and that reads the correct way round. Also when you press the clutch pedal nothing changes on the nanocom when connected to the defender Confused . What I could do with is someone out there with a td5 and a nanocom to plug there's in and read it out to see what it says.

Ah, sorry. I may have been getting mixed up with the hi/low switch that Jim has mentioned. Darren
