I have Nikko fixed and it's always been reliable. I used to have a Tasco zoom but after a few years it got "wobbly"... Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Daystate is looking favourite currently, so much so one is on order, .22 40ft lbs.

Scope wise, MTC, as Dave has helped with a looking good but i have a good price on http://www.europe-nikon.com/en_GB/product/...-2-5-10x50Nikon 2.5-10x50

having gone through the thought process of liking the idea of adju scopes and BDC reticles i am now more inclined to go back to basics on the scope front! Cheers

The pneumatics are impressive but only a break action does it for me - I'm getting old and need the rest between shots Embarassed Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

+1 for the BSA R10 if you want to go down the PCP route.

More expensive to get started than a break barrel or side lever spring/gas strut air rifle as you need to buy either a high pressure stirrup pump or a diving air cylinder and adaptor.

But once you have the recharging kit, you will never want to go back to a break action type rifle!!

And most PCP rifles take a magazine so you can plink away for 8 or 10 shots before having to reload.

As an RFD & Shooting ground owner l see & use a variety of Fac / standard air rifles.
The Rapid 7 is the equivalent of a Defender whereas other makes such as FX /Daystate are the Ferrari/Porsche of the airgun world.
Personally l have a Rapid ( heavy, noisy but does what it says on the tin) & l also run an FX.
I like both but the FX is my go to air rifle.
You just need to remember that a 30ft/lb air goes straight through Squirrels etc at 30/40yards.

Every Fac holder should have an Fac air rifle on his ticket as they are so useful for vermin control

Be careful when you apply for your variation as you say your Rimmy is "too much", your FLO may deem the land to be unsafe? I know what you mean, I have two 22LR and two 7.62/308. Got both when it was Northern constabulary, Since Police Scotland came into force they have tried to restrict ammo holdings and made life as difficult as possible. 80" 1948
