Blanking purpose? Why might we do this? HP gain? how much?

To keep the crud associated with recycled exhaust gasses out of the inlet manifold. It's not, strictly speaking, a performance mod - it's more of a 'preventing performance reduction' measure. Darren

Well in my case it made the engine appear to 'breathe' better (along with an intercooler flush and new 'de catted' exhaust).
