Not mine thankfully.
Click image to enlarge I hope whoever was inside got out okay, there wasn't a single reusable part on it. I saw a very similar 110 on a truck, coming along the A30 in Cornwall. Makes me glad I have a roll cage on mine. Mod #1 I think for all Defenders....

I would say it was rolled. I noticed an MOD type towing electrics socket on the back, so perhaps it was towing and got overturned. This was seen today at Chievely services M40/A34. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Have seen this kind of pictures numerous times now. A Defender which has a decent shock is very easily good for scrapping. Seems to me even faster than modern car designs.
You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
Yes, indeed - let's hope some do-gooder from the consumers association doesn't start a witch hunt (or should that be Which? hunt) against Land Rover. I drove Suzuki SJs back in the '80s when they allegedly 'fell over' and the consumers associations here and in America tried to sue Suzuki, thankfully they failed so hopefully they've learnt their lesson. Cheers! |
