Raised seats
Just made and fitted some rails to lift the drivers seat by 30mm and what a difference they have made to the driving position, I know Mud Uk do their mud rails but being a tight Yorkshire man and working for an engineering company that had the steel on stock (well cut offs that would have been binned) The rails are made from 30x30mm box section cut to 18 1/4inch lengths to fit under the seat rails, I no longer get a pain in my left knee through pressing the clutch and my right knee through resting it on the hard plastic door card, and more to the point her indoors who is slightly vertically challenged (she's not small just got short legs) can now see over the stering wheel instead of looking at the top of it. Good int it? Got the passenger seat to do next.

How tall are you - just curious as the standard seating position seems really good for me but many people seem to go for this mod.

Hiya Supacat I'm about 5'8", I find it a lot e I'm going to do the passenger seat this weekend.

Uncasasier on the knees with the seat raised slightly, I'm going to have to lift the cubby box now as I use that as an arm rest, My wife is just over 5 foot and she couldn't see over the steering wheel

Thanks - have been out with the gf since my first posting and discussed how much see could see through the windscreen and was surprised that she could not see the front of the bonnet. She never drives it so I guess I don't need to do the mod Very Happy

i have found the rails make the seating more comfortable in the 300 and the td5 but i unistalled them from the puma as they felt too high.
