My money is on me setting fire to it.
On a more serious note, the key fob opens/shuts the central locking okay, and I tried my spare fob just in case the battery on was low on the main one. I didn't check any fuses for the alarm system though... |

Running fine now - turns out it was a piece of dirt on the crank sensor.
