I thought I should start a new thread about my other 90.
She is a 1998 300tdi, I have owned her for about 6 years, she is my first land rover, she has served me very well but has also caused me a fair few stressfull moments! Now I have sold the series and got the new 90 this one will now be used for trials and green lane trips! ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge I have got a new set of insa special tracks on black 8 spokes to go on. ![]() Click image to enlarge The rear diff pinion bearing failed a few months ago, at this point I thought it might be a good idea to put a 4 pin diff in. ![]() Click image to enlarge Out with the old. ![]() Click image to enlarge In with the new. While it was apart I treated it to a new set of rear wheel bearings and some new discs and pads. They did not want the discs to fall off! ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge Here are a couple of videos, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxmXQb6h9Fs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTEvgwYNWa0 Kev Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() |

Got on with a few bits yesterday.
I'm fed up with having to take my wheel spacers off each time I need to nip up a wheel bearing, so I decided to do something about it! No I did not smash the lugs off with a hammer ![]() I set up the spacers in our milling machine and bored 3mm off each lug, this gave enough clearance to get the rear shafts out and front flanges off.
