2014 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 HT Fuji White
Identity crisis (Evoque inspired)
I had an Evoque SD4 as a courtesy car yesterday while I was having some warranty work done on my 110 van. I must admit it was very nice with plenty of umph (and my 110's brakes felt dreadful by comparison with it afterwards) but there is a problem.

I'd parked it up for a bit and looking at it from a distance as I walked towards it, was suddenly overwhelmed by an urge to open a string of hair salons. I can't explain why, but the appeal of fitting new kitchen sinks and changing taps has been replaced by the need to get out the curlers, do some highlights and cut and blow everything dry.

Is this a normal reaction? I could understand it if I'd been loaned a Peugeot RCZ, an Audi TT or some kind of little convertible, but not a Land Rover product. But somehow it does have that coiffureistical quality necessary to qualify as just such a vehicle.

Thanks for any advice.

Joe the Hairdresser.

PS. Something for the weekend, sir?

France 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Corris Grey
Joe, nice post, brought a smile to my very hung-over Sat am. Thumbs Up Rolling with laughter

We had friends over a few weeks back, with a fully pimped white Dynamic. Ok, more power, comfort, toys etc, (and the brakes!!), but genuinely could not wait to get back in the 110. Much preferred. To say the owner (her not him), loves pink and fur, has big boobs and blond hair and lives in Essex, sort of explains the demographic..... Rolling with laughter Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....
