Stoo,
Slightly off topic I know but it was mentioned in your post! Is it possible to enlighten me/us as to what deal you were offered with your extended warranty and how much it cost? Got quite a while to go before I need to consider it but extended warranty sounds like something worth due contemplation! Ta very much! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Mine are great. Just don't do anything stupid like I did in June.
Boiling hot day and was on my way to a meeting. Sat in traffic and thought how hot it was. It was a hot day, I had the vents and windows open....still boiling up. Started thinking I was ill or something. Got to my destination and got out, sweating buckets and as I got out I put my hand on the seat and realised. It was 26C out there and I was sat in full work clobber on hot seats. I'd clearly caught the switch when faffing about with the radio. Believe me my heated seats are spot on. Cheers Mark She's not old...just older |

Hi,
The element was actually not working so the seat backrest was replaced under warranty earlier this year. Not sure if the elements can be replaced on their own, but having replaced the seat foams and covers on these type of seats i can confirm that the backrests are the easy bits to change and it's the bases that are the nightmare! My heated seats still aren't the best TBH - warm but not that substantial - I'd look at replacements through Exmoor Trim or the like. Stoo |
