Seats problems!
Noticed that the driver's seat back foam was split down the tubing on the outside yesterday, has anyone had similar problem?

The motor is still under warranty but I don't know what the dealership/Land Rover will do to fix it, I've had similar problems twice on my 90 and Exmoor saved the day.

This happened to mine (but only after 3 years and 60k miles, out of warranty though).

An easy repair, I simply removed the fabric backing from the seat, repaired and reinforced the foam with duct tape, then reassembled the seat. Not difficult, and took about an hour. Hog ring pliers are useful but not essential. New foam mouldings are available from Exmoor Trim if you want to replace the pad rather than repair it.

It dramatically improved the "fit" and comfort of the seat afterwards!

I imagine that a dealer may well replace the whole seat.

My drivers seat didn't quite split but you could feel the right hand side frame had come out of position somehow. The stealer changed it without any arguement.
I get the feeling (in my backside) that the Puma seats are not as comfortable as in my 300Tdi or the Td5...have others found this?

I must admit that when I did a half day jobbie at Land Rover Experience at Eastnor that I was glad to get back in mine! I started to put it down to it being a demonstrator but thinking about it the seats should have been in better condition than they were. I know I redid the foam in mine 4 years ago and it's used everyday but at least I don't feel like there isn't much there. It just gave me the impression of being sat on a seat out of my old school bus and I don't relish reliving 30 year old memories.

Been to the dealer today and it's seat foam that's getting replaced rather than the whole seat.

I replaced the foams in mine the other day and it feels like a new car again!
