Scotland 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Santorini Black
New 3.2 Engine
Looking for some advice on anyone that has gone with a Bell or Nene engine swap with 6 speed box or the flappy paddle deal.

How is MPG and ride quality ? Do you think its worth the money spent in the end ?

Possibly looking at doing a full conversion of my 07' 110 engine, interior, paint, the works to make it a more road friendly family bus Very Happy ....

Cheers

Mike

having driven the 3.2 conversion on numerous occasions, I have to say it is absolutely amazing the amount of power and torque on demand is superb and either supplier will do the conversion to a super high quality.

it is definateley worth spending the money on interior upgrades like sound proofing and more comfy seats makes it a much more civilised ride and so much quieter.

don't forget some upgraded brakes and suspension along the way after all you need to be able to go round corners and stop when needed Laughing

good luck with it and look forward to seeing the end results. 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid)

Ok, i dont want one now lol !

Not got anything yet, just looking at the positives and if i should spend the money on it and keep the vehicle or just trade for a new one and do all the mods like exhaust, chip, etc to get it up to scratch. Mines hitting 100k miles now...

depends what you want really old vehcile bigger engine more power ( just dont be fooled by the big 300hp power figure people are putting about as they are currently not available )

or new vehcle new tuning with ample power for the car 2.2 tuned is about 170-180 hp
and its withing the given tolerences of what everything is desighned for ?
