I dont know about the LR quality difference but £500 is a joke. You could easily get some decent quality black wing tops for £100-£150. I got mine previously from ebay (a couple of years ago) with no issues and easy to fit. I used large pop rivits to secure them in place.
My newly purchased 110 had plate in place supplied by MM4x4 and they distributed these through their web page. Hope this help, Sweaty Sweatysock ------------- 110 CSW TDCI (Puma) 2007 |

IMHO Mammouth CP is as good as Genuine Parts
Anodised would be more durable than powder coat. I have black powder coated on my 130 and have fixed with black anodised alloy countersunk fixings into rivnuts. Click image to enlarge Simon Last edited by SGH on 1st Jun 2013 9:01am. Edited 1 time in total |

By Gum he's right ya know! There are loads of cheaper options and if you were fitting it to an 'old shed' go cheap. If it's for your 2011 model remember you get what you pay for. Mammouth is excellent quality and comes with gaskets/liner (I have some of it) but that too comes at a price albeit cheaper than OEM but of very high quality and hard wearing. http://mammouth4x4.biz/ If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! That looks lush. Am I right in thinking I need the fixings? Also do I need to add something else from entreq to stop my 14 stone bending the wings? 1951 80" S1 2.0 1995 110 300TDI 1995 90 300TDI |

Mammoth kits come with fixings.
Being a bit anal about the finish of my LR I bought anodised aluminium fixings |

What about carbon fibre such as motorcyclists use to protect the petrol tank tops from being scratched? Make sure you go for a good quality brand that is specific for Pumas and has the correct curves at the edges. Also check they supply decent gasket to go between the wings and the plates.
Mammouth is supposed to be one of the better brands - can't comment as I've have genuine LR black wing tops on both my Pumas and have been very pleased with it (didn't pay £500 though ... ) John http://www.hampshire4x4response.co.uk 2011 Tdci 110 CSW XS |

Should be more like £320-£330 from a dealer for the wingtops. The kit (sills, bumper tread plates and rear quarters) will be £500 odd. Regards Mark. |

Last year, I was thinking of Diamond Chequer Plate - Brendan thought that Entreq were going to release some...I like the look:
Click image to enlarge Personally I find the 5-bar plate a bit "busy"....1, 2 or even 3-bar would look good in my opinion - I do intend to fit some soon. Of what's available, the Mammouth looks about the best IMHO (for quality & finish at a decent price). Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

I looked at the Enreq CP was surprised that at the price it was only drilled for pop rivet fixing not countersunk
They might have changed it now. |
