Windscreen seal is a favourite as are the door seals, hardtop seals etc., etc.

Hi Guys,
I have jus come online to check out the same problem, quite a lot of rain followed by a little puddle on my drivers side floormat on a two month old Defender. OK so its windscreen first, then a few other obscure bits to check. Does anyone know of a comprehensive thread on the site for this subject? I imagine it's been discussed a few times before? Thanks again. John. 2.2 90 XS 88" Series One Old Norton Minerva |

This is a well known problem. Take it to the dealers and they will repair under warrenty . Had to have mine done few months ago and has been fine since.

Now that taking it to the extreme, to stop water ingress. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

Finally after 3 visits and six weeks in total mine no longer has a foot spa (touch wood!)
Has had new winscreen, windscreen seal , fake hinges, seal between screen frame and bulkhead, all points of ingress on the bulkhead, door seals, floor seals and believe it new seals on bonnet hinges. So hopefully it is now sound. Why they couldnt do it whilst building it is beyond me but hey ho Back in time for the summer |
