Just learned that many powdercoaters will do the whole job for you (beginning to end) and in non-RAL colours
Getting my old tandem frame done next week in British Racing Green Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

I can thoroughly recommend thewheelspecialist, I've had two sets done there, one to oem colour the other to their black chrome finish, they properly repair rather thanjust epoxy fill the wheels and the finish is outstanding.
One set was badly kerbed, and looks new now Take a look at their website, there are branches all over the place. G |

Interesting to see how the budget works out.
I had my Disco2 wheels refinished. I had the tyres taken off, and took the bare alloys (4 only) to a small local guy in Cowdenbeath. It was £200 (for 4) for cash or £65/wheel with a receipt. The job was excellent, I had them back within a week. After that it was new BFGAT's and I had them another 40,000 miles until I sold the vehicle, the finish handled the Scottish winters with no problems Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

I got a set of Mach 5's (original steel ones) redone recently at £35 + vat a wheel.
That was wheel only however and had to get the tyres removed & refitted seperately. Not local to you but maybe useful to some one in derbyshire: http://www.langleycoatings.co.uk/ |
