Haven't seen one myself, best defense is blacked out windows maybe. Lets face it with bolt on hinges it's not hard to get in is it. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

just stripped the window guards off my 90 sw.
next ride going to be a 110 utility so rear windows not an isssue. with a load guard and a guard screen on the rear door, looking to obtain a secure compartment. thought i might top it off with an extra lock. seem to recall Pearson having something similar fitted to his G4 110. |

I would have thought than it would be pretty easy to fit any of the van type locks to a Defender rear door.
One reason I favoured a hard top over a CSW, those sliding windows are just too easy to break into. OK so it would be pretty hard to get a bike through one but there's plenty you could strip off one once inside. It's probably quicker to dismantle a Hard top then to dismantle a MTB
I lock my MTB with a cable to a latching eye in my D3. Something like This bulldog van lock?, like the elecricity board vans have fitted (we've got an ex SEB sprinter at work, and it has these, and the place we got it from had an SEB 110 there, with one fitted.
Apparently Halford sell them as well! |

fekete, yeah was looking at that type,
seen it done, just need to scope out where (i.e. height) is best to fit on the rear door. |

I'v used them for years good lock not on a defender though, on lock up's and vans i'd go for somewhere in the middle so you can't bend the door open NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY. NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE ANYWAY

Jim is your works sprinter a 4x4, which model is it. Do you know what you paid for it, I have a 53 plate lwb 313 and was thinking of selling it in the summer but not sure what it is worth.

No, it's only 4x2, but has a traction control thing on the rear axle. it's a 411CDI medium WB. We got it from this place who specialise in ex electricity board stuff (unimogs, JCB's, Volvo 4x4 lorries etc, their yard is like a big boys playground! ) We paid £7500 for it, '52 plate, 92k miles |

I fitted household chub locks to my previous 2 landys. The key needs some metal shaving off it but you could use a mortice lock with a longer key if you didn't want to alter the key.
