Driving lights hung on A bar
I've hung a pair of Hella 3003s on a plastic A bar, which fortunately gave just enough clearance. The two flies in the ointment now are having aligned the lights how do you fully tighten the nut that holds the lamps on the A bar?

And the lights vibrate slightly, years ago I remember mounting some lights and fastening the top (or bottom as the lights are hung upside down) with an adjustable bar to another part of the vehicle - this made them super stable. Does anyone know where I can get a pair of these, I can't find any after trawling through loads of driving lamps suppliers on Google?

Many thanks

Gerry

I manufactured my own custom made brackets using the 'blue prints' from the lights to make them fit as close as practical to the front grill. The brackets I made picked up the top A - bar securing screws and were fixed, the lights were then in turn secured to the bracket and were tightened/adjusted to the bracket itself! Using some high density foam behind the lights prevent them from vibrating. Here's a couple of pictures that may give you the solution you seek.

Ive seen a few pics somewhere where the the lights are mounted to a very small bar mounted on the bumper, no where near the size of an Abar if that makes sense You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things

Hi there. Looking at mounting some Cibie Super Oscars to my Puma but they will stick way out front of the grill. Anyone know if those Nakatanenga grills offer more room? Thanks, J G

Gerry,

They are called "steadies" I think and generally go for around £ 20.00 /pair. Demon Tweeks sell them, but do a search on e-bay.

Cheers

Steve
