Could you explain what they are? is that the 2x2" bung that goes where the reciever hitch goes?
If so, if LR don't do them, then every American towing shop will do them. |

I think Grockle means the round plugs for the holes the LR jack fits into?

Can I hikack this thread while we are on about NAS bars - are they actually legal on a Puma? If so has anyone come across a drop plate as the front wheel of my double wheel trailer is practically off the ground when connected.
Having said all that, never found plugs for mine. Just left them empty. |

I'm sure the rear tow step is listed in the accessories for the puma on the landover website .
On our old v8 I have attached an adjustable Dixon Bate type onto the towstep to lower the ball hitch position. Works fine for average towing but don't think I would want to pull 3.5tonnes with it in low position. 1981 series 3 swb gone 1986 v8 110 station wagon current 2009 puma 110 xs utility station wagon latest addition |

Yep there legal just bought from Land Rover last week, just fit a drop plate. Or put spacers under the trailer tow hitch. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

Is this what you mean -
http://www.discovery2.co.uk/drop_plate.html then they are not eu approved. I had one on a Range Rover and was told it could cause problems if when towing we got stopped by the law. |

The "NAS tow bar" that we get in the UK (and Europe) is fitted for a normal towball or drop plate, and doesn't have a US-type tow receiver.

Does this type of tow bar/step improve or decrease the departure angle compared to a multi height tow bar.

Probably pretty similar as it has the two brace bars underneath much as the standard towbar. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.
