If you only want the Radio and you don't mind your current head unit. keep it and keep using it. If you only want to charge the iPhone has you considered one of the lighter socket USB sockets?
Depends on what you the buyer and user wants. Without knowing exactly what you'd like it's difficult to recommend anything. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

I mostly listen to the radio too, but I did swap my HU for the later LR one with an Aux In socket, so I can connect my iPad to it occasionally. Simple and standard, with enough flexibility to allow other inputs. Darren

Hi - I bit the bullet and bought the JVC kd-x50bt. I don't use CD's anymore and for the price, £75 it's a no brainer.

No problem for using the iPod /iPhone but it won't charge. And music isn't HU controlled or selected. So you have to pull over to adjust it unless you have a willing co-pilot so to speak. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

No, of course not, although I don't feel the need to constantly fiddle with it, to be honest. Set an album playing, create a playlist or use shuffle - there are plenty of ways of letting the technology do the legwork.
For charging, i recently bought a usb charger that fits a standard cig. socket and the aux lead includes a usb connector too, so the iPad can be charged at the same time. I tend to do the same also if I speak the truth. Can come in useful though sometimes. But there is options of creating a playlist if required.
I was thinking of that funny enough but didn't mention anything. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

I use a Clarion CZ501EG. Plug in and play, really simple to use. Green illumination that dims when lights switch on. Doesn't look out of place in the dash and works with the phone really well. No fancy dancing equalizers- just plain and simple. Hope to meet you when collecting wheels. Cheers Jeremy |
