Hi Brian,

A bit of both I think (shimming and pad rattle?) not really pinpointed it. There is a set of instructions but not read them yet. Dead simple to fit. Yes it will rust, maybe the pads will rub in?

Not fussed about the noise because it's ace, just thought I would mention it as wasn't expecting it.

Steve

Silicon the pads in - should say in the instructions - when you get around to reading them ... Whistle

Just sat down and read the instructions, If you silicone the pads in this should stop the rattle. Also very good instructions on how to set up.

In the fitting instructions it says dismantle the shoes from the back plate, ignore this just disconnect the handbrake by the lever undo the 4 back plate screws and pull the lot off in 1 lot.

I have a leaky rear seal so its coming off again tomorrow for a new bearing/pinion and seal..

lol thanks fxe.me.uk Very Happy

'Wow...! What a ride!
