Pulled over, put my hazards on and went for a walk to pick up my bonnet that had flown off over my head and landed in the hedge row behind me! Two small dents in it but one has broken the paint Put it back on and carried on on my journey - idiot (like BIGFOG's parking assistant!) - filled up the washer fluid and obviously hadn't closed it properly. Think that I'll be trawling the ads for a replacement bonnet. Incidentally thats the second bonnet that has flown over my head - first time I was in my Citroen Mehari!

Took some galvanised bits to be powder coated - tubular side steps and top treads, and front mud flap brackets. Seems a bit trivial compared to the roof rack and bonnet incidents though
I hope the 'parking assistant' was suitably chastised! Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

ICE went in for 24 month service. Had gearbox, transfer box and axle oils changed too. Oils all came out quite clean. Great opportunity to get underneath and take pictures for the webasto install.
Started quite a good bug collection on the windscreen |

Did engine oil and filters change along wih air(good collection of flies and wasps in the airbox) and fuel filter(had to completely muller that to get it off, it destroyed my strap filter wrench) Then I sprayed my bonnet and wing top chequer plate satin black, looked tidy untill the cat decided to stroll all over it

That could work quite well as Robpenrose has a 90, just need to be a bit handy with an angle grinder |

I almost had the same thing happen to mine, the bonnet catch was broken and it would lock the bonnet down. In the end land rover had to replace the whole locking mechanism. So if it was new I would look at that and see if it might be covered Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |
