Can’t you get that piece from a breakers? Or won’t they sell it on its own?

I think its specific to post 2012 defenders and its such a pain to get off without smashing it that i haven't found one yet.Hence my wait for 3d printers to drop to the sub £100 notes price range.

I wonder how many special tools the the average defender owner has in their shed! Laughing

Off the top of my head;
Viscous fan tools
Propshaft nut tool
52mm socket & box spanner
Steering box drop arm puller
Hydraulic crimp tool
Transfer case rear output seal insertion tool (home made by someone with a 3D printer) 1999 Defender TD5 110

I always Dinitrol everything except for things that obviously shouldn’t be.
If ever it needs to come off I’ve found WD40 does that job well, just a little tip I noticed. Best in small areas at a time.

The Dinitrol on mine has been brilliant. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Yeah that certainly wasn't the best spray job I have ever done, luckily enough most of it won't be seen and I can't be judged on what cant be seen Thumbs Up

I think one more coat then time for fitting at the weekend.
