Driving home last night the passenger side wiper arm fell off. Luckily, it landed on the bonnet and I managed to save it! 1999 Defender TD5 110

I've had that happen to me too, some years ago driving in snow on the A303. Very disconcerting! Darren

Luckily, the weather was good. Looks like worn splines on the arm. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Something with wipers is in the air. the right one was stuck. Spending yesterday removing the dash and getting the wiper assembly out. Lot of gunk and one wiper box seized. Tomorrow the fresh parts will arrive a defender from 1984 pretending to be a puma with a touch of Range Rover

This one: - Click image to enlarge Paid £1500 for it a couple of years ago and it was pristine. It was originally built/designed as a genset trailer, with a removable tailgate (4 bolts) and bolt-in chassis for carrying the generator. I haven't seen another one like it, and whilst the tilt is good, the lack of proper tailgate is a PIA. |

Nothing but I did fit a new rear brake cylinder and brake line (worst job ever unless you do not mind spending 3 hours bleeding the brakes) to the fire engine and then fitted some new front shoes to the 2a......

Went to Higham point to point near Dedham in the Heritage. Bit of a shame, the card was a joke, one horse declared for one race, two for several others and of course the odds were nonsense. The organisers did say over the tannoy how it was such a shame- but not enough of a shame to stop them taking the full gate money! There is clearly demand for an event like this in the area as the place was packed, but people won’t return if they can’t enjoy some decent racing and place the odd bet.
There were a few nice landies around, mostly Defenders and a few Series. No LR stand although Volvo and Izusu were there. Not a great surprise! |

Went back from KBX to standard wing top vents. Much happier with the look. KBX are now in the classifieds if anyone fancies a change.
