Finally fixed the back light on the carling switch for the rear wash/wipe - wire had come off.
Started replacing the door light switches and cleaning the contacts up. Managed to drop the plug for the drivers side one into the recess....so need to fish it out tomorrow. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Brought the SVX out of storage for the holidays. No salt on the roads yet here, so I am enjoying it some. Besides driving it into town today, this morning at home adjusted the 7 inch Wipac cristal headlights slightly down. Last night an oncomer flashed me, which was enough confirmation for my suspicion that they were adjusted a tick too high. Quick job with a screwdriver, and then did a simple eyeball test by lowering my head at a distance of about 30m to see if they were adjusted equally high. That always works well.
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I know many people on here are constantly complaining about people running with their front fogs on at night when there is no fog, and those fogs blinding oncoming traffic. Well, here is proof that a good quality real front fog like my Hella Comet 550 do not necessarily blind oncoming traffic. When lowering my head from a distance to see if the Wipac Cristals were equally adjusted, those Wipacs would start blinding me well before these Hellas would do the same. A good front fog which is properly adjusted will never blind oncomers as its light spread is directed to the near front and the sides of the truck. Boys day.
This morning went shooting with my eldest son and this afternoon we tried out his new clubs at the local driving range. |

Replaced the passenger side door switches & 2nd row door door seals (much springier now than before)
Started to fit a dog guard to the 110. Designed for a later model of Defender so some additions needed to make it fit. Roof line brackets, those C shaped ones that sit behind the trim fit OKish they just push out the plastic trim a little. But the brackets that come off these to attach to the dog guard, IMO push the guard too far back, so I needed another way of doing it. Hence the box section and flat plate that run side to side. Click image to enlarge Next is to have two tabs that come down from the cross piece so the guard can be hung off this. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Not driven it today, but yesterday went out with trailer to get some timber.
Pretty average really. Today, received another bottle of Millers additive. Hopefully in the new year a few more interesting things to do. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

No not yet I just need to live with it for a while in that position to see if it works there or if I need to move it toward the backdoor more I have mounted it on non slip rubber pads but will be using a ratchet strap thru the U bolt fixing I put into bulkhead to secure the adrenaline pedal lock to secure it in the event of an accident. It's heavy empty and even heavier now it's loaded with my winch and other stuff including the adrenaline lock so no doubt my mpg will drop ha ha. 2015 HT XS 90

Went out with the kids to get some supplies for animals...
Unlocked car went to jump in.... Drivers door would not open. door behind it... As I park close up on one side to a wall I couldn't get in the other side... In via the boot, opened doors (Spray WD40) all over the thing... WORKS |
