I hear you guys. I'm actually waiting for my local village blacksmith (doesn't every village have one?) to make the mounting plate that will enable the light to be centralised! It was a twelve week wait so only another 7 to go Click image to enlarge The pics were taken near Bala in North Wales. |

Son managed to get the drop arm swapped over at work yesterday as they had an hydraulic puller, saves us messing with it now and spend more time doing something else on the 90 instead Graham

Did the 'alarm remote aerial' mod today, extended up into the roof lining. Very much recommended, can lock it from miles away now instead of 2 ft! Pete

Got stuck up to my doors in deep ice covered water within 50 yards of the first lane of the day because some dipstick had not engaged diff lock properly
Quick rope pull back soon had it sorted Then had an excellent day on a very sunny, but very cold, Salisbury Plain. It was VERY slippery and diff lock was needed on more than one occasion. Loads of deer in the fields and very few vehicles. Did the alarm remote aerial mod myself today. From what I had read, it sounded pretty straight forward.
If you remove the drivers side speaker, there are two green plastic electrical boxes (i don't know what they do). From the left hand side there is an orange wire hanging down, with about 5mm or the insulation removed. as if a connector has fallen off it. This is the aerial it seems. The orange cable is about 20cm long. I crimped a piece of cable approx 1m long to this, ran it up the back of the dash, you don't have to remove any parts to do this. Then up behind the plastic cover that runs up the side of the front windscreen (2 screws to remove). Pushed it up under the edge of the roof liner. You cannot see the cable at all once done. Took me 20 minutes. Tested it, and i can lock and unlock the car now from 15 yards away. Probably further but ran out of room to walk away from the car. So easy. Before i had to be stood next to the drivers door to unlock it, couldn't even do it from near the back door. |
