United Kingdom 2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Santorini Black
I was stunned by Twisted when I visted at the Autosport show in January. They had a 55 plate 90 that looked amazing but it was up for £55k. A new USW was £75k - about 3 times what I paid for my standard one.

I love Defenders and hope to be tooling about in an X-Tech soon which will make me a very happy boy but I just cannot see what trinkets you can add to a 110 USW to raise its price to 300% of the original.

C 2015 110 USW XS in Santorini with premium contrast leather seats in tan/black, black headlining and with Dual Finish alloys (in the garage, now on Wolf rims with Goodyear MT/Rs)

2012 '62' 2.2 X-Tech 110 USW now gone ...
1984 90 soft top with full roll cage, 200 tdi engine etc now sold
2012 USW XS 2.2 "FUU" now gone....

It is silver plated !!!! Lol
As for the price of there defenders.... Just ask matt how many hours he's put into his 130fcx to get it to where it is now and the cost so far, bearing in mind it wasn't even a new defender
Then ask him how much he'd sell it for (everything is for sale at the right price as matt told me )
I would hate to add up what I've spent on Rocky and my time is free it's my hobby
He's just about to do the gumball rally and I'm sure it's a £30k entrance fee but the advertising he will generate to the very wealthy will I'm sure be covered by new sales
May be one day... Now where did I put those lottery tickets It's good to be back from the dark side

The prices you have to admit are ridiculous though Lee, but then the price of work is so much now as you say labour is so intensive Thumbs Up CSK Automotive

Actually, I'm with Lee, I don't think Twisted's prices are that way out.

As Lee said, the time that goes into these vehicles and the expense of the 'Gucci' parts, overheads and of course that filthy word, profit, all have to be accounted for.

It's an expensive keyring but I paid similar for an SVX one from LR, it's part of what I choose to buy into.

Of course you could buy a cheaper keyring, you could use an old shoelace for free, but that isn't what this is about, Twisted are building / have built a brand, an exclusive one, and this is all part of that.

I for one admire what Twisted are doing and the proof is in the pudding, they sell vehicles !

And in answer to Lees post, I've so far clocked up in the region of 200 hours on the FCX 130 and when she's finished I'd sell for circa £50k ...

^^^^ Very true. It is silver plated but equally not solid silver either. Confused
Let's remember LR's own prices too. They certainly aren't cheap either but you get what you pay for. Britpart springs to mind. Shocked $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
