Alarm aerial mod
Was at a loose end so I thought I would mod the length of the alarm aerial. Had a look through some old posts and was looking for an orange wire with a white/grey trace which was kinds short looking. Anyway I couldnt find it, but the wire in its place on the far left as you look at the module is now black and goes way up into the top of the dash, is this the new and improved aerial?

Varies, from the passenger side it's 20m or so, but the drivers side I am touching the side window!

I think that you have some form of modification as 20 metres was totally unachievable from any angle without the modification. 4-5 metres maximum. I extended mine up the driver's side window pillar and get about 20 metres from that side but a reduced distance from behind the passenger's side unless I stick the fob against my bonce. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

What would happen if it was some how linked to the radio aerial? Not sure if that is possible or indeed a good idea though. Whistle
