Loads of money has been spent on it the BHP is not the best figure the torque is the thing its not a curve as such more a flatish line just keep changing gear at 4thou and it flies no need to rev its valves out. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

Out of (genuine) curiosity how are you getting 275 bhp at the wheels, say 325 at the flywheel out of a 4.0 RV8?

So how did you get 265 or 275bhp from a 4.0 ?
I've got a 4.0 Tvr engine tuned with no expense spared running omex injection with 250bhp.
The 5.0 Tvr runs around 265-275bhp Wink

I will get the Power Engineering rolling road paperwork out at the weekend and will be able to chart the improvements that were made each visit. When it originally left JE running K flap it barely made 160 One of the big leaps was the plenam chamber and inlets getting swirled trumpets and the cosworth injectors. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.
