United Kingdom 2006 Defender 110 Td5 SW Epsom Green
VNT/VGT turbos
Does anyone know of a turbo from another vehicle (I've heard of Mercedes 5 cylinder sprinters, pre electronic modulator) turbos that could be grafted onto a Td5?

I've got an IRB VGT turbo on my 110, and great it is, but now i've got the 90 finished, and it's just a plaything, i fancy doing some experimenting and seeing what will fit.
If i can't get anything to go on, i'll just get another IRB or Bell turbo, but I thought it would be fun to try.

So, any ideas folks? what other 2.5-ish litre diesels use a VGT non electronic turbo?

Mercedes ML from a few years ago had a mechanical VVT - it operated on vacuum rather than boost as standard. Garrett GT25V rings a bell as a part number... My blog - www.anacreinhampshire.blogspot.co.uk
