I had a letter from WYP, as a Defender owner, advising me of the high level of thefts specifically of Defenders and suggesting methods of improving the security of my Defender which I thought was pretty proactive.

The letter, now in the bun, was very generic saying try steering wheel or pedal locks and your dealer has improvements available to help make your defender more secure. I guess a letter saying "for heavens sake don't let them cut the yellow wire or else the immobiliser won't immobilise" could be seen as counter productive
