Can only speak as i find,, but never had a problem with Riders Landrover, or their Volvo dealership come to think of it, dealt with both for years
Both the Vogue and the current 110 came from Truro California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |

I aggree with DoE ... not impressed either.
took my 110 in for a few things to be done under warrenty, Rear door lock not working, sliding windows jammed, door seals falling off,... & they said that they needed to replace the sump pan as a LR requirement. Had it for 2 days and when I picked it up none of the jobs were done and had to take it back 2 weeks later. Turns out that they had done the sump pan before I bought the vehicle from them ... Made me feel like I was a spoilt kid when I complained. as far as main delers down this way it's Rodger Young for me every time! Just had some work done on my clutch and it uncoverd a host of issues that were probably due to poor mechanical practices at the main dealership that has done all the warrenty work, recals and serviceing on the vehicle since new ...
Needless to say I'm not going to have any work undertaken at Riders. If you would like more info please PM me! TBH they handled the busted clutch issue quite well in the end - sorted the handbrake and vent blower, all under warranty as well as the clutch replacement.
Provided a courtesy car (Freelander 2 HSE then a rather insipid but new Corsa) without charge too - many seem to add a small insurance charge these days. Faith slightly restored.. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |
