Hi,
I can't help you with the spare wheel carrier I'm afraid, looking for the same thing myself as I also have a quad tech box. Do you have any pics of your defender? Thanks Steve |

With a 130 the rear cross member is buried underneath the tea rear tub. The standard 110/90 ones will not fit without a large bracket.
I think AndrewS has one fitted to his 130 but it is not a standard commercial one ready off the shelf. Brendan |

Yes. Definitely not an easy fix I fear. Would love a dual rear wheel carrier. Have seen some 130's with rear boxes where the wheels are mounted directly to the box. Would of course depend on the configuration of the box however. Mine for example has one door at the rear which opens upwards and takes up most of the back of the box so mounting directly is certainly not an option. www.drive4change.co.uk

If you take a look at Andrews gallery there are a couple of 130's with rear wheel carriers. The red Dutch 130 seems to have a rear bumper / wheel carrier combo which looks interesting. The other is on the grey 130. www.drive4change.co.uk

I have a 110 HICAP, same set up as 130's.
Got this one from Front Runner http://www.frontrunner.co.za/defender-130-...acket.html I ordered mine directly from them. They might have a rep in the UK. Got some pics of it in my gallery. |

Nice bit of kit. The only issue would be where the top mounting point is located in relation to his quad tech box. Think my rear door would be in the way unfortunately www.drive4change.co.uk

We also have a 130 with a quadtich box and 1 big door on the back, and are thinking of a swing away wheel carrier, we have made our rear cross member right to the back,
You can see the before and after photos in our web site at bottom of post. ps I tried to load your web site but on 3 attempts it froze my computer. Live Life Ti'l You Die Teddys are out thier http://teddybearspicnic.webs.com http://130sasha.co.uk/ |

You take of the little bumper and you bolt base bracket in place. This attaches to the chassis and to the bottom of the load bay.
To this you bolt the swing arm. hold in level in closed position and mark where to drill the holes for the top bracket. Drill holes and attach swing arm. Then you have to position the locking bracket. It it is fixed with bolts through the tailgate. It has a supporting plate on the inside. If you want I can take some pics for you tomorrow. There is a guy on one of the Australian forums who makes them for 130 with a single pin bolted to the rear cross member ... bit expensive but more what you guys are looking for. Hey Roaming,
Looks like you have done some great work on your camper . Is it finished now? Not good to hear you are having issues with our website. I will pass it onto our design company. What browser setup are you using? www.drive4change.co.uk |

Well tried today and got access to your site, good luck with your trip, your 130 looking good. I am using Firefox. Well our 130 should be going for MOT within the next few days, last job is to get new exhaust on, then test.
