Completely and utterly different I'm afarid.
However, depending on where he is and condition I would be interested in the engine, gear and transfer box |

Ahh .
The kit is located in the CH41 postcode. I think the 6 pot has been standing for a few years so not 100% sure on condition. If you are interested, I'm sure he will be open to offers (and I guess not a lot) 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

That 6-pot 2.6 litre engine was a cracker, at least when in good nick. Hard to beat a good straight six (except maybe with a straight-eight).
Hope it goes to a good home! |

Pop a Weslake head on it and they go like stink!
Seriously, if he is interested in selling, I know a few folks who would be interested in any parts. Please don't scrap it. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond..... |

I had a 6 cylinder 109 safari many years ago and it didn't hang about. Sounded beautiful too.

One of my favourites was the last 2.6 109 that I owned years ago, lovely engine with an exhaust note to match. I think I still have a full engine gasket set somewhere. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. Its worth posting in the series 1 world as the bell housing fits the 2l IOE engines too, so somone maybe interested in the whole box. He who dies with the most toys wins
