Got this same leak ... like you can't figure out where it comes from ...
The bulkhead/window frame seal here in Malaysia is done with silicones at the factory. I also sealed the rubber around the windshield. That has stopped it for the normal rains, but still returns when we have those tropical downpours here. As far as I can figure it out the water seeps through via the rubber around the windshield. I have this also.
I need the winscreen replaced so have purchased a new seal ready Will ask the guy to pump plenty of sealent in also to see what happens Chris 2008 XS 110 2.4 Utility. I had this one and was easily resolved. It was the seal around the false hinges for air vents (puma). Resealed and no problems to date. I hope that helps

Bulkhead to screen blocks is a good place to start - mine need doing, the blots/nuts are rusting on the inside 1953 80

thanks for the advice everyone
Last year I sealed the notorious 'gap' and windscreen rubber and put a thin bead of sealant around the windscreen hinges but it was a quick rough job (I got more on my hands). I need to do it again properly this time ! Good to know thats where its definately coming from |
