LOL I'd rather have a REAL land rover with bulkhead air vents than one of those ugly new thingies with a bulgy bonnet Welcome to the forum from another fairly newbie who also is the proud owner of a TD5 110 |

Seems like there's some kind of Td5 rebellion emerging here! Personally, I don't feel particularly hard done to because of my extra cylinder. I don't feel excluded from their conversations about 6th gear cruising and I'm certain that they enjoy hearing about my fresh-air vent exploits. We're all just one big happy family really! 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

OK I confess, if the salesman at Stratstone had offered me the 6K I wanted for my 2 year old Corsa soon enough then I would have had an 09 Puma, instead after saying NO we went to Chipperfield and bought the 06 TD5 fofr £750 less, while we were signing the paperwork I got a missed call fro Stratstone who wanted to offer me the 6K. It took me a few days to get used to the poor torque at tickover compared to the 2.4 but once I got used to the Anti Stall I was fine. (unlike the missus who stalled on the way up Sutton Bank behind a slow car and took 3 tries to get rolling again ) Too true from S11 109 to Puma 2.2 we love 'em all. |

Welcome TD5 Dan, from another TD5 Dan
Have to admit I do like the Puma bonnet, but also the previous shape which looks more understated. But I do like the air vent flaps too, the 6speed gearbox would be nice - anyone have a free roverdrive going spare 2005 TD5 90 Hard Top Beer 'n Sex 'n Chips 'n Gravy |

Thanks for all your comments, I would love a puma defender later on but still enjoying the sound of the TD5 and already been talking to Gary at alive tuning about a remap to get the full benefit from it. There are plenty of mods still to come!
