Hi all,
Probably a long shot I know, but does anyone on here know of a UK based company able to supply good quality chassis mounted long range fuel / water tanks to fit a 200tdi Defender 130? Have researched but have only come up with one company - Safari Equip and would like some alternatives if there are any. I would preferably like to run a fuel tank on one side and a water tank on the other. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Steve |

Who makes long range fuel tanks in the UK?
Safari Equip is the main company which springs to mind. Some companies sell the Front Runner range of tanks but they are not UK based. IOn our red 110 we have a m/s SE wing tank fitted. The wing tank is doubled bottomed as after market guards do not exist for wing tanks. Have a range of about 900 miles in red 110. Fiotted well before we become trade Black 110 we have a stainless 120 tank plus a 48 litre wing tank both double bottom. Gives us a range of about a 1000 miles Does not interfere with departure angle on a 110 ![]() Click image to enlarge http://s9.photobucket.com/user/leedslandro...&o=117 Stainless tanks cost extra, only worthwhile if you are keeping vehicle long term. We plan on using the vehicle for other charity based exploits upon its return from Capetown after hopefully having broken the world record, hence thinking of stainless over mild steel.
![]() I have heard nothing but praise of the safari equip tanks but difficult to gauge a product without being able to see it fitted. Not an abundance of 130's with long range fuel tanks fitted in the Uk for some reason lol |
