1999 Defender 110 Td5 SW Caledonian Blue

TD5 Diffs & axles

Do TD5 defenders share the same diffs (as in straight swap) with say Discoveries/early 90/110s?

Are early Defenders as (in pre TD5 axles) the same as TD5s?

Just in case I see any going at a good price.

yes all 24 spine. but i've never broke one so not sure you'll want spares.

you'll want 4 pin diff, an ATB diff or a locker though!

So Disco diffs/half shafts are the same as TD5 ones?
My logic is if I spot one for sale and its worth the money, I could service it, adjust backlash etc then swap it out and rebuild the other without the car being off the road for the duration. 1999 Defender TD5 110

2005 Defender 90 Td5 XS CSW Zambezi Silver

I thought 24 spline diffs/shafts came in with the 300 tdi in about 1994.Then again maybe i just dreamed it ! 2005 Td5 90 XS
