This must be the most Wanted item, the new price is ridiculous and even 2nd hand they fetch silly money, an oppertunity here for someone in the plastics industry to make a plastic copy of the original that looks the same , can be used to mount additional lights on but costs and weighs much less. I always watch these on e/bay but invariably they go for more than I want to spend DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

Due to European laws (not British) any 'Frontal Protection system' (anything bolted to the font of vehicles) has to be fully tested. I am unaware of the costs but believe it is somewhere in the high tens of thousands so the sales price for anything like this will be HUGE..... Probably why only Land Rover make any form of FPS.

In Cyprus they have taken it even further (how they interpreted the rules) and even spot lights break the FPS laws.

Just go for a new one, then at least you know it is a good one and has all the fixings. Then if you decide to get rid of it at another point it will also sell for good money.

I think it's worth also pointing out that research shows that anybody driving a Defender with one on the front is 100% more likely to get Cat Aids.

If you remove it and sell it not only will you be safe but it's also well known that fact Charlize Theron will shortly afterwards turn up at your front and demand to make you breakfast.

I got a genuine one off EBay brand new and boxed for under £200 posted in 2008 from a guy that worked "in the factory". 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..
