Yep done a few of them and the paint on them is terrible. Actually have another one to do next week.

You can use dinitrol corroheat. Iโve used this on new engines and itโs been good. Film stays tacky for a few weeks though until fully gassed out. cheers, Steve |

Eric - It isn't me saying it it's on the Dinitrol pages online and on the cans on some of them.
It didn't used to be, but now it is. (.I noticed this recently.) I think it's fine, as I said I did my last one with regular black underbody wax and was fine. I think the risk is if it's not allowed to cure a day or two. I.e. If they (Dinitrol.) say not to use it some people may well spray it on and drive it up to temp right away. Obviously in such a short timespan the solvents may not have evaporated. SteveG - Thank-you for that. I will take a look. Makes sense for me to do mine as it's on,y a couple of months old and clean as a whilstle at the moment so an easy job. One thing to be said, my old sump stayed in A1 condition with it Dinitrol treated. It was only the seal that was the reason I had to swap it out.
