Evening Guys
I'm trying to do a TR replica and need some badges, roof rack and spot lights. Any help would be appreciated as I've searched the net with no joy. Cheers Life is one big adventure, that's why we have the vehicle for the journey. |

I was lucky to get a hold of a Tomb Raider rack, it was from a accident damaged TR, had a few repairs done to it but all in all it was ok, I paid about £350 as a best offer on ebay, it was delivered to my door, assembled so keep your eyes open, they do pop up occasionally photo below of said rack!

I suspect the Tomb Raider rack is safety devices, so you should be able to buy cage along with rack new from them if all else fails. Don't be worried about not seeing on website or catalogue as they have a ton of items that are not general retail but built for various LR projects that they will supply. For example back in 2000 they supplied P38 RR diff guards and underbody protection to me as a one off as they had all the plans etc from a US LR event. It won't be cheap as secondhand, but also cost wasn't outlandish.
Another option for cage and rack is protection and performance cages. Are you planning to replicate film 110 or production specials?? Cheers Steve |

Steve, when I was fitting the rack I bought I looked into buying one or two pieces to replace the damaged ones, I searched for hours and eventually I found a website (looks like they are finished as I couldn't get onto their site again) that supplied the rack & basket but not in one unit, it was sold modular and when I added it all up it came to £1700 I emailed them a couple of times but no reply and I haven't seen them since the basket alone was almost £540 madness!! ps. If I remember correctly every item had a Land Rover type part no. but if I googled any of the part numbers only that site would pop up, most of the nmbers were stc**** or similar. I realize this is of no help but just passing on my experience Optimists say the glass is half full.. Pessimists say the glass is half empty.. Hi Guys
Thanks for all your help, I've just spoken to the Experience centre at Solihull and ordered the badges so now I have to keep an eye out for the rack. These things really are like Hen's teeth, I like the picture by the way. Got it planned for everything else externally now to save up some money for the rest. Defenders are like a house, being a bottomless pit of money to get them the way you want but the sense of achievement is awesome once it's done. Anyway back to work and fit the spacers tonight along with some goodies from Bob. Once I learn how to do it I'll try and post pictures. Cheers Guys Life is one big adventure, that's why we have the vehicle for the journey. |

you will not like this but a few years ago ,on ebay i won one of these for 99p brand new ,still in wrapping and box,i had to collect from the landrover dealer in the lakes,it was then passed on to a mate of mine who had to adapt it to fit a standard roof ,i think it had brackets to fit onto the roll cage (correct me if i am wrong),the lad only had it for a month then sold the 90,if only i held onto it
