Used all the afore mentioned mowers. Lawnflite are cheap honda copies.
Have a Honda self propelled roller for my own 1/2 acre which is lovely and stripy. Mower from 2004 and still as good as new! Would not have anything else. Not cheap but with minimal maintenance go forever! Thumbs Up

Don't buy a McCulloch! I wasted several hundred pounds on one and it's $hite - front wheel drive with plastic gear teeth that just shred Evil or Very Mad
Can't get rid of it now as I'm too honest to lie to prospective buyers Rolling Eyes Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

Has anybody tried the Al-KO or the Efco. Someone told me the Efco was a good machine, mind you he was trying to sell me one at the time Wink . 2.2 2012 110 utility Orkney Grey

I've got an Efco chainsaw, apparently something to do with Oleomac. Any ways, its a great saw, never skipped a beat, and I've been pretty hard on it (14" bar and I've cut 28" diameter trees with it...)

Had a Honda mower and strimmer (both petrol) for years and they are very reliable.

After I realised how $hite McCulloch are, I went on some lawnmower forums (I know - Saddo) and they seemed to think AlKo are good - I will probably be buying one soon Rolling Eyes Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

Thanks for all the replies, looking at a viking MB650VM, 19" variable drive and mulch kit. Taken on board the honda advise, but they are very expensive and the above is £495 and a 5 year warranty.....
One comming on demo next week.

it may need a 17" to fit around beds etc. but if i could go bigger i would for 4hrs worth.

Briggs and Stratton engine or Honda have always worked for me. Cheers

Bought my hayter 12 years ago, still going strong, grass bag is tatty now.

The hayter is great because it has a full width exit for the grass and this can cope when it is wet.
