Paint peel from the inside of the arches is common but I've not seen it creep into the exterior finish. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

Common problem.
The inside of the spats are normally not painted, what paint is there is over spray. The insides are not prepped to take paint so the over spray will just flake off. Happened on my 110 but it never affected the outside of the spat. Had the 110 checked by a very good paint shop local to me and he confirmed it was normal, they do a lot of work on Defenders, and then they promptly removed all the flaking paint so I could not complain Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

Front bulkhead (although Land Rover tried to say it was stonechips), 2 mirror arms, 2 headlight surrounds, clutch & slave cylinder, oil leak behind the injector pump, complete central locking system, Heated Rear Screen, front wheel bearing & drive shaft.
Not good for Land Rover, this is 3.5 weeks work in the last 3 months! |

And it's booked in for a rear wheel bearing and something major in the steering, either the column uj or steering box. They also suspect the steering pre-loads need doing too.....
